Abohotho is the Syriac-Aramaic word for ‘Ancestors’. This project is a spiritual musical evocation to the majesty of our great ancestors in the Levant and Mesopotamia. Abohotho intends to; first, amuse with soothing and spiritual music based on atmospheric Near Eastern / Middle Eastern sounds, and to remind and inform the listeners of the stories of our ancestors, with a special emphasis on Aramaean, Assyrian, and Canaanite / Phoenician cultures.

‘The Primeval Evocation’ is Abohotho’s debut musical output. It is a small, but sublime 4-track EP that demonstrates the sound of the project and opens a portal to Abohotho’s future work.
